Hilltop Forest hosts team offsites, leadership meetings, and small corporate retreats for companies looking to step out of everyday routines and slow things down. The setting is especially well suited for small teams of up to ten guests who value calm, privacy, and time to think together.
Hilltop House, our premium villa, is the base for all corporate stays. There are no shared meeting or dining spaces, and each retreat is hosted privately for one group at a time. Most stays are self catering, allowing teams to work at their own pace and keep discussions uninterrupted throughout the day.
If you wish, catering, activities, and simple programme elements can be added to support the stay. When needed, our team can also step in to help host parts of the day, keeping everything easy and unhurried.

Stays at Hilltop House are self catering and flexible, allowing your team to set the pace and shape the day around your own needs. The only fixed times are check in, check out, and any pre booked meals or activities. We are always happy to help you plan a simple programme if needed.
Meal options include cooking together as a team, adding a private chef, or ordering catering. These options can be mixed and matched. Activities can be added if you wish.

FAQ - Team Offsites

Hilltop House is our premium villa and is always booked exclusively for one group at a time. As we do not have shared meeting or dining spaces, hosting a day event means blocking the house from overnight stays before and usually after the event as well.
Because of this, shorter meetings or partial day events are typically not possible at a sensible budget.
Full day events with our private chef that run from morning to evening, for example starting with breakfast and meetings, followed by a shared lunch, sauna time, and dinner, can sometimes be arranged.
That said, availability varies by season and calendar. You are always welcome to ask. In quieter periods or when dates align well with other bookings, we may be able to make something work.

The base setup at Hilltop is self check in, and there is no staff permanently on site. This gives teams privacy and the freedom to settle in at their own pace.
If your day starts with a private chef breakfast or lunch, the chef will be there to welcome you and prepare the meal.
On occasion, we can also arrange a hosting team to meet and greet you, host parts of the day, or help prepare things like the sauna and hot tub.
Any on site hosting support needs to be agreed in advance and is subject to availability.

Yes, for some events we can arrange for a member of our team to meet and greet you on arrival. We can have coffee ready, set the meeting space for the day, and help create the right atmosphere from the start. We can also assist with hosting parts of the day or preparing elements such as the sauna and hot tub.
When you choose our private chef or catering option, service staff will be present during meal times to take care of everything related to food and service.
If you would like a team member to meet you on arrival instead of a self check in, this needs to be agreed in advance and is subject to availability.

The standard check in time at Hilltop House is 4 pm, with check out at 11 am. Hilltop House is typically rented with a two night minimum.
For corporate stays, we can also arrange one night bookings and custom check in or check out times when the calendar allows. If you are happy with a self catering stay and standard check in and check out times, Hilltop House can be booked directly online. For any custom timing, please get in touch with us.
Please note that Friday events need to end by 11 am. Extending beyond this usually blocks a full weekend booking and quickly becomes costly. On Mondays, arrivals can typically be arranged from the afternoon onwards.

Our private chef and catering services are provided by carefully selected external partners. Availability for these options depends fully on their individual calendars.
In some cases, the space itself may be available even if meals are not. This is why we cannot always offer full packages on your preferred dates, especially during our busiest periods.
Private chef availability is most limited during May and June, the Christmas season, and on weekends. If a private chef is important for your stay, we recommend booking several months in advance.
We are always happy to check options and suggest alternatives if needed.

Hilltop House is designed as an inspirational retreat rather than a traditional conference venue. We do not offer a full professional meeting or conferencing setup like you would find in a conference hotel.
A movable screen is available for presentations. We do not have a whiteboard, but many teams enjoy using sticky notes and the large windows for brainstorming and visual work.
The house works especially well for relaxed meetings, strategy sessions, and creative workshops. There are several spaces that support breakout work, including smaller tables in different rooms, quiet corners, and work desks in the bedrooms. The upstairs Forest Suite includes its own desk, and the main open plan living and kitchen area offers multiple table and seating options for group work.

Hilltop House has three bedrooms. Hideaway North and Hideaway South can be added for additional accommodation when in season. Each Hideaway cabin sleeps two, but for corporate groups we highly recommend using them as single occupancy.
If you are looking for single occupancy rooms, the maximum we can offer is five guests. This includes one guest in each Hideaway cabin and one guest in each of the three bedrooms at Hilltop House.
That said, many corporate groups choose to share rooms. We regularly host teams of up to ten guests staying at Hilltop House, with two to four people sharing bedrooms. The right setup really depends on your team dynamic and the style of your offsite.
A comfortable and popular setup for corporate groups is eight guests, with one guest in each Hideaway cabin and two guests per bedroom at Hilltop House.
The absolute maximum group size we can accommodate is fourteen guests, but for corporate stays this is usually too tight. We are always happy to help you find the setup that feels right for your team.

The sauna and hot tub are always included in a Hilltop House booking. Unless otherwise agreed, guests heat the sauna themselves. The hot tub is always warm and ready to use, simply lift the lid and enjoy.
Hilltop House has one bedroom (the Forest Suite) with its own ensuite bathroom. The two other bedrooms use the sauna showers. In addition, there is one separate toilet in the main living area of the house.
If Hideaway cabins are added to your booking as part of the same group, guests staying in the cabins will use the sauna showers at Hilltop House. Hideaway cabins booked by separate guests do not have access to Hilltop House sauna or shower facilities.

If Hilltop House is available on your preferred dates and the standard check in and check out times work for you, you are welcome to book directly online.
For any custom arrangements, such as adjusted arrival or departure times, help planning the schedule, or adding meals and activities, bookings are handled through our customer service. In these cases, we will put together a personalised quote based on your needs.

For corporate bookings made through our customer service, we are happy to arrange separate invoicing.
For group bookings handled by our team, payment terms are agreed case by case and depend on how far in advance the booking is made and which add on services or activities are included. In most cases, the final payment is due before arrival.

Group bookings made through our customer service typically have a longer planning window. These bookings can usually be cancelled with a partial refund up to 45 days before arrival. The exact terms depend on the timing of the booking and the services included and will always be confirmed in writing.
Third party add on services, such as private chefs, catering, or activities, follow the cancellation terms of our external partners. These can usually be cancelled up to two weeks before the event.
Please note that last minute changes to group size cannot be refunded. Once services and accommodation have been confirmed, we are unfortunately not able to offer cancellations or partial refunds due to changes in the number of participants.
