Hilltop Forest is a quiet dialogue between thoughtful design and the surrounding Nordic forest. Our private cabins and villa are shaped around calm, simplicity, and a slower pace, offering space to disconnect and settle into nature.
OUR CABINS
Our premium villa, Hilltop House, is open for rent year round, while our two Hideaway Cabins, North and South, are open seasonally from May to October.
Hilltop Forest is not a hotel or campsite, but a peaceful nature retreat. All stays are self guided, with no staff on site. During the summer season, a freshly baked farm breakfast can be delivered to your cabin doorstep, and private chef experiences can be pre-ordered for in villa dining.
Hilltop house
Hilltop House is our premium forest villa, rented exclusively to one group at a time. Inside, you will find a stunning, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and large windows framing forest views in every direction. The villa includes a separate Forest Spa -building, also for your private use, with a wood burning sauna and an outdoor hot tub set among the trees and sunset. Hilltop House is designed for unhurried self catering stays with family, friends, or a small team, offering space to slow down, cook together and relax by the fire in complete privacy.

Hideaway South & Soak TUb
Hideaway South is a minimalist forest cabin centred around its private wood fired outdoor soak tub, a guest favourite and a highlight of the stay. Designed for simple self catering with only the essentials, the cabin offers a comfortable 140cm bed and a large window opening to forest views, creating space to slow down and reconnect with nature. Outside, the soak tub is paired with outdoor running water and a summer kitchen, inviting relaxed days and evenings spent among the trees. Ideal for couples, good friends, or solo getaways.

Hideaway North
Hideaway North is our pet friendly, most minimalist forest cabin, created for a simple stay focused on nature and slowing down. Designed with only the essentials, the cabin offers a comfortable 140cm bed and large window opening to forest views. There is no running water, allowing for a more back to basics experience in the forest. Outside, a simple outdoor cooking setup creates a quiet rhythm for days shaped by forest and stillness. Ideal for couples, good friends, or solo getaways seeking a truly pared back forest stay.

Private chef
A guest favourite for evenings when you would rather not cook. Our private chef offers relaxed fine dining prepared on site, with seasonal menus based on local Finnish ingredients. The service can be booked as a single dinner or as part of a full day meeting package, making it an easy choice for special occasions and group or work related stays.

Catering for groups
Our catering option offers an easy and flexible way to organise meals for group stays and work related retreats. Ready made menu options are available for breakfast, lunch, dinner, as well as coffee and sweet treats. The local catering team delivers the food on site and sets everything up buffet style and even takes care of the cleaning up. Catering can be ordered as a Meeting Package or as individual meals.

Farm breakfast
A simple and unhurried start to the day in the forest. Order a freshly baked local farm breakfast delivered directly to your cabin doorstep, with delivery around 9am. The breakfast includes a filled bagel, seasonal berries, natural yoghurt with house granola, a warm cinnamon bun, and the farm’s own juice. The breakfast is a fixed set menu, designed to be lactose free, nut free, and suitable for a lacto-ovo-vegetarian diet.

Forest escape
Forest Escape is a guided team challenge set in the woods, built around storytelling, environmental education, and collaboration. Your group works together to solve puzzles and complete tasks within sixty minutes, with the focus on fun, teamwork, and an active way of engaging with the forest. Forest Escape is organised by Naturested as their signature outdoor game and works especially well for team days and work related gatherings looking for a shared experience outdoors.

Yoga or sound bath
Private yoga classes or sound bath sessions can be arranged with local teachers as part of your stay. Sessions are adapted to the season and group size and can take place outdoors or indoors depending on conditions. As Hilltop Forest does not have a dedicated yoga studio, indoor sessions suit small groups, while sound bath and guided relaxation are recommended for larger groups. These sessions work well for private wellness retreats, group stays, and work related gatherings looking to add a calm and restorative element to the programme.

Shinrin-yoku Mindfulness
Shinrin Yoku, also known as forest bathing, is a guided mindfulness experience in nature. Originating in Japan, the practice invites participants to slow down and engage with the forest through gentle mindfulness and relaxation exercises using all the senses. The experience helps calm the mind, restore energy, and reconnect with nature. Sessions are organised by Naturested and are suitable for all seasons and group types.

Hilltop House offers a beautiful and traditional setting for a Finnish bridal sauna (“morsiussauna”, “polttarit”) or a calm bachelorette weekend in nature. The wood fired sauna, outdoor hot tub, and the beautiful setting of Hilltop House create an ideal atmosphere for spending meaningful time with close friends. These stays are designed as relaxed and respectful gatherings rather than party focused events. Bridal sauna weekends are especially popular in spring and tend to book early, with a minimum stay of two nights on weekends.

Hilltop Forest is tucked away in the woods, yet only about an hour’s drive from the Helsinki Capital Region and Helsinki Vantaa Airport, and just over 30 minutes from Espoo. Arrival requires a car or a pre booked taxi, as there is no public transport to the area.
Our forest and spaces are part of a private residence with no public services. All visits must be arranged in advance with a confirmed booking.
